U.S. Foreign Policy in the Middle East With Ambassador Ryan Crocker
VIEW EVENT DETAILSDuring his 37-year Foreign Service career, Ryan Crocker served as U.S. Ambassador to some of the most volatile countries in the world: Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Syria. Most of these countries are in the Middle East, which has been a region of ongoing conflict since the end of World War II. The region has also been of strong interest for the U.S. given its strategic location between Europe and the rest of Asia, and the important role it plays in the global fight on terrorism.
Join Asia Society Texas Center for a conversation with Ambassador Crocker on his thoughts regarding the current U.S. administration's approach to foreign policy in the Middle East and the path forward to a peaceful and sustainable future.
