Breakfast Yoga Club Houston
VIEW EVENT DETAILSJoin us in the serene setting of Asia Society Texas Center as Breakfast Yoga Club Houston returns for a morning of a meditative yoga asana practice. Some of Houston's best teachers will guide visitors in a varied round robin practice. Yogis are encouraged to bring their own mat (BYOM) to build friendships, play, and surround themselves with the good energy that fosters loving kindness and joy.
The Asia Society Texas Center building will open early for this program. Pondi Café at Asia Society will open at 10 a.m. to serve their regular menu, including breakfast items and drinks.
This event is FREE and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10. Please RSVP for planning purposes.
The Breakfast Yoga Club (BYC) is a grassroots organization sustained entirely by volunteers and not affiliated with any particular studio. Their mission is to unite the yoga community by offering donation-based programs that honor all traditions of yoga. Monthly events are hosted at locations around Houston, with a variety of teachers and styles featured in a round robin practice. Live music and breakfast are provided when possible. Each month, a different charity is supported in order to raise awareness and support with the intention of inspiring seva and cultivating activism in the community.
More information can be found the BYC website.
Education and outreach programs at Asia Society Texas Center are made possible through generous funding from Karen Chang, Greater Houston Community Foundation, and the George and Mary Josephine Hamman Foundation. Generous funding also provided by the Friends of Asia Society Texas Center, a dedicated group of individuals and organizations committed to bringing exceptional programming and exhibitions to Asia Society Texas Center.
